Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet neighborhood that is located in the West Island, which is an island in Montreal. The West Island, to those not familiar with it, is a large part that stretches from Lachine until the west. Many times, it is credited as the birthplace of Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was not long. Brugel developed on Courtice located just outside Oshawa located in Ontario. At the beginning of her life she hoped to become professional performer, however an unexpected expansion of her body made it impossible. In an article published by Toronto Star, she revealed her height in heels as 6 feet 1 inches tall. As soon as I outgrew all my male partners then I stopped. Many former dancers turn into acting. In the case of Brugel, it was the result of a recommendation from her drama teacher. One of her teachers suggested she try out for a school play. After a few auditions, she ended up as the main character of Anne of Green Gables. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on the large and small screen. The most notable was her fame when she was offered the role as Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the only Canadian part of the cast during Season 1 of the series and only seen occasionally.
